The Colosseum

Hey! This is going to be a quick posting but I went to the Colosseum this morning with my room mates Lindsey and Tessa. Now that we've learned a little bit about the Colosseum in class, we FINALLY got to go inside and check it out. The museum part was pretty cool, I would have probably needed a guide to fully be engaged though. But, seeing the actual Colosseum was awesome! It is just so huge and its amazing to picture what kind of events occurred in this building. We tried to use our 'new knowledge' as we walked around to describe the old seating arrangements, where they kept the animals, where the Gladiators came in from, etc. It is really hard to imagine since so much has been lost and reconstructed, but, you can't go to Rome without stopping in the Colosseum!
